Terms of Service

Last updated July 1, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Relay — the QR code management and analytics platform at relaycodes.com and app.relaycodes.com. By creating a workspace, you agree to these terms. If you're using Relay on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.

2. Your account

  • You're responsible for the security of your login credentials and API keys.
  • One workspace can have multiple team members (Agency plan); you're responsible for what they do with access you grant them.
  • You must be able to enter a binding contract to use Relay — this means you're not using it if you're a minor in your jurisdiction.

3. Plans and billing

Relay offers Free, Pro (€9/mo), and Agency (€49/mo) plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in EUR and exclude applicable VAT.

  • You can cancel anytime from Settings; you'll keep access until the end of the billing period.
  • We don't offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
  • If a plan's usage limit is exceeded (QR codes, API requests), we may pause the relevant feature until you upgrade or the next billing cycle resets it.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Relay to:

  • Generate QR codes that redirect to phishing pages, malware, or other deceptive or illegal content.
  • Impersonate a person or organization without authorization.
  • Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or API authentication.
  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute Relay's redirect infrastructure as your own service.
  • Send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) via QR destinations tied to Relay.

We may suspend or freeze QR codes, revoke API keys, or terminate accounts that violate this section — without refund, where the violation is material.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the destination URLs, titles, logos, and other content you upload to Relay. You grant us a license to store, process, and serve that content only as needed to operate the product (rendering QR codes, running redirects, generating analytics).

6. The 'never delete' promise

QR codes on a downgraded or free plan are frozen, not deleted — the redirect points to a neutral landing page instead of your destination. We reserve the right to delete QR codes after 12 months of continuous inactivity on the Free plan, or if your workspace is terminated for a terms violation, but we will never silently delete an active paid workspace's data.

7. API usage

API access is included on Pro and Agency plans, subject to the request limits on your plan (see API documentation). API keys are your responsibility — rotate them if you suspect a leak. We may throttle or suspend a key that's driving abusive traffic, even within your plan's stated limit.

8. Availability

We aim for high uptime on redirect infrastructure but don't guarantee an uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where practical. Relay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind beyond what's required by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relay's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue from a redirect outage.

10. Termination

You can delete your workspace at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms, non-payment, or if required by law. On termination, sections covering billing, liability, and acceptable use survive.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll notify workspace owners by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
